BRIEF SUMMARY ABOUT YAMPA PRECISION

Yampa Precision is your provider of machined parts for aerospace, defense, weapons, medical, technology and commercial industries. Our capabilities range from engineering and design, CNC precision machining, high to low volume, contract and split deliveries and assembly.

We work with a variety of materials. Such as; aluminum, stainless steel, alloy steel, plastics, titanium, brass, etc.

QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT

Yampa Precision Manufacturing takes the quality of your part very seriously. We understand the importance of a finished product meeting all requirements and specifications of our customer’s blueprint.

All of our inspections are done following ISO standards. We are certified to ISO 9001-2008 Standards. This means everything is documented and all processes are followed and controlled through our Quality Manual.

A first article inspection is completed with every job by checking the first part off the machine. This is followed by in-process inspections throughout the job. We can supply, per our customers’ requirements, a Certificate of Compliance, Material Certificates, Final Inspection Data along with any other documentation required.

MILL DEPARTMENT

Our CNC mill department consists of 8-Horizontal and 18-Vertical Milling centers. These machines are capable of machining prototype and production quantities. With 4-axis milling capabilities we are able to produce complex parts in fewer operations and complete the job in a more timely fashion. We can machine parts up to 20″ x 16″ in size.

SWISS SCREW DEPARTMENT

Our swiss department consist of 10-swiss screw machines that can handle your small precision parts up to 1.25 inch diameter.

These machines are capable of small production to large production quantities. They are setup with live tooling and 7 axis capabilities and can build your most complex parts.

LATHE DEPARTMENT

Our lathe department consist of 11 CNC Lathes from 2 axis to 7 axis lathe/mill machines capable of producing your most complex round parts. These machines can bar feed materials up to 2 1/2 inches in diameter and have a max turning capacity of 8 inches. We can produce prototype to production quantities in this department.

WIRE EDMS

We have 2 wire EDM Machines that are used for tooling, support, production and on tough materials. This department consists of 2 Sodick machines capable of very tight tolerances of 0.0002 and have a maximum cutting area of 15″ by 12″ by 10″.

SUPPORT/DEBURRING EQUIPMENT

We have found that a number of our customers want a part delivered complete. From machining to cleaning we deburr the parts, send them to our approved outside metal finishing vendors and assemble and package to your specifications.
